Golden Support. For Bodies Big and Small.
Description:
When you’ve faced recovery, trauma and healing—like I have—you recognise the power of subtle support. Barberras Antioxidant is a refined blend of turmeric and black pepper, built for humans and pets who deserve gentle protection every day.
How it helps:
Turmeric, the “golden spice,” supports liver function, healthy joints and cellular defence. Black pepper enhances absorption — because nature works best when it’s honoured. UK-made, lab-tested, and safe for your sensitive companions too.
Who it’s for:
- Humans wanting everyday antioxidant and joint support
- Pets with ageing joints, skin sensitivities or inflammation concerns
- Owners looking for a simple, clean formula with no fillers
Founder’s note:
“I watched nature support me—and my dog—through big changes. This is the distilled version of that journey.” — Brian

Barberras Turmeric capsules are perfectly safe for dogs to take and provide 475mg of Curcumin per capsule.
The capsules are 2 piece capsules so are easy to pull apart and mix with food.
Dosage:
As a dosage guideline we would recommend:
- Up to 10kg = 1 capsule per day
- 10kg-25kg = 2 capsules per day
- Over 25kg = 2 capsules per day
Turmeric leaves the body quickly so ideally you would be better to administer smaller amounts with every meal, throughout the day. If this is inconvenient taking the full dose with 1 meal per day is fine.
Please Note: Dosage instructions on the bottle are for human use. Please use the dosage instructions above for use with dogs and cats.
Side Effects:
Turmeric and black pepper can have side effects in animals, including dogs and birds.
Side effects may include:
- stomach upset
- liver issues,
- kidney stones.
Contraindications:
Turmeric is an excellent supplement as it works, is safe, and it's also natural. However not all dogs should get Turmeric.
Turmeric is a blood thinner, which decreases the risk of strokes and heart attacks. However, if your pet has been prescribed medication that already thins their blood then they should not use Turmeric.
Turmeric is also a binding agent which means it can be a great remedy for diarrhea. Unfortunately, if your dog is de-hydrated, they can become constipated and may get an upset stomach if they consume too much Turmeric.
If you have any doubt about administering nutritional supplements to your pet, specially if they have never had them before, always consult with a veterinary professional beforehand.
